I’d rather listen to music while working. Preferably 60s or 70s classic rock. Or just plain highbrow symphonic “classics”, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi or such.
I don’t feel the need to argue with those, as I do to podcasts.
Another up vote for music. And yes… I too, never listen to podcasts. In fact I believe I can honestly say I’ve never heard one all the way through. The bits I’ve heard have been from push ads that I accidentally activated.
@chienfou I used to regularly listen to Scott Adams’ podcast but, alas, no more. Haven’t really gotten into any others so far - I much prefer music too.
I could never “pay attention” very well when multi-tasking. I tend to just plow through the task. (So while I could listen to a podcast, or a play-by-play, it would be like listening to white noise.)
Doing chores without a podcast is the only way to do chores. I’m primary auditory learner but I hate podcasts. They drive me freaking insane

@phendrick
This is why I spent way too much on a turntable
@capnjb And now on vinyl?
@phendrick It’s a slippery slope
I’m more an audiobook type, but it’s in the same area.
Chores and Reggae music but I do podcasts and audiobooks anytime I can
As others have said, audiobooks instead of podcasts, but yes.
I just can’t stand most podcast hosts. Would also rather listen to text that has been through a couple edits.
I don’t listen to podcasts at all.

… an excuse to listen to a baseball game.
